I've done some work on the buildings of Toddington these past few weeks. Building up the village and giving it some shape, im quite happy with some of the building, so bellow is what ive build so far and a liitle bit about them.

Overview of Toddington (CAW view) so you can get an idea of where lots are and whether their community or residential.

Toddington Manor
This is now the town hall - there's also a residential lot by it, the Old Gate House, (which can just be seen behind the left gates/fence).
Toddington Manor was the home of The Toddington Family for many generations and the village grew up around it. However 14 years ago there was a huge fire which destroyed most of the inside of the manor but also killing Lord and Lady Toddington.
The people of the village, which was now growing quite rapidly, were worried about the future of the historic house because it was so badly damaged that it would soon fall into disrepair and collapse. So the parish council decided it would become there town hall and museum which would would show the history of Toddington and also the Lord's and Lady's of the manor.

All Faiths Church and Cemetery.
The heart of the community, where weddings, funerals and all the celebrations in between take place. The chapel (on the right) is where all the services take place and the celebrations can take place in the church hall (on the left). The graveyard is at the back of the church, but i haven't got any graves to put there yet as no one has died, I've also got to do some planting and landscaping here too.

Toddington Green
In the center of the village is Toddington Green, the centerpoint of village life. The gazebo is where you can sit (when i remember to add some benches) and enjoy the planting and landscaping of the green (again I'm still yet to finish that). In each of the 3 corners is a cherry tree which will be surrounded in plants and flowers. A enclosed children park is a safe place for children to play, while the benches are where the parents and grandparents can sit and watch. There's 2 more sections of the green to build one is going to be a pond area for fishing, with benches and trees and the other a sort of playing field where you can have picnics and play ball games, so it really will be the center of the community.

The Beach
A great place for a family day out. Enjoy playing in the sand, catching the sun on the sun loungers, roast marshmallows around the fire pits, sit in you beach huts and just wait till evening and you'll see the sun set.

Fire Station
One of the buildings I've build for the village center around Toddington green is this fire station. There's not really much to say about it except that its a fire station, so im going to leave it at that.

The Train Station
The old train line was taken up many years ago when the road systems on the Isle of Newshore were updated and new roads built, so there was really no longer any need for it. However Toddington's train station remained along with an old piece of track and 2 trucks at the platform to remember the past. The station is now a community building but i still haven't come up with a use for it, i was thinking maybe The Old Station Cafe?

Houses
These are just a few of the houses I've build so far. Again I've still got landscaping, planting and decorating to do for all these lots. I want to add some families to them to give this part of the village some life.

Above is Honeycomb Cottage, the home of my test family the Baxter's Martin, Hilary and there daughter Emily.

An Overview (in game with buildings) including the forest where Toddington Manor's located and where a few wood houses will be build around a fishing lake (which i'm still yet to finish).

Still so much to do in Toddington, but i'm really enjoying building my own world and the payoff of looking at parts you've created is great. Oh and I've still got the rest of the island to build so really a huge amount to do.
Keep Simming :)
