Bertha's been round again a lot this month and helped me with the gardening, we've had some late nights working on it but its been worth every second. Its grown so much and i'm really impressed with it, I'm getting so much produce that i can even sell some at the local store which is fantastic.
So of course i treated Bertha to a picnic, but only at my garden table mind you, we were both exhausted from all the hard work to be bothered to go and find somewhere to sit and eat, and besides a have a nice view of the river and some woods. The picnic was lovely we had some of my favorite Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches, and a salad made from the things growing in my garden - which was nice. The Bertha had to go, her daughter and grandchildren were visiting from the other side of the world, it want often she was then because it was so expensive to fly over but also because it took so long. So Bertha hurried of to get some more treats for the grandchildren, she was going to spoil them, but why not i thought she only sees them one a year, if shes lucky. and i went back to plodding around the house not really doing much.
Oh golly, i nearly forgot the next big bit of news, that the other week i met this lovely man named Edward, hes about the same age as me and we have really similar personalites, he loves painting and reading too. We went on a 'date' (well i wouldn't call it a date at my age) to the local bistro last night, which was beautiful. I wasnt even looking for anyone anymore, i'd given up, at my age people dont usually find love - well i wouldnt call it love yet, but there is somthing there. As i was saying i wasnt looking for anyone but last week i was taking my extra produce from the garden to the local store when the car just stopped in the middle of the road! I had no idea what happened but luckally Edward came to rescure me and got the car going again, we carried on talking after he fixed the car and well next thing i know ive been on a date and im talking about love, ha who would have thought.
