Merry Christmas everyone, It's Betcy here. Christmas was a few weeks ago and we got very much into the Christmas spirit. Just before Christmas we put our tree up in the living room and decorated the rest of the house. It was all very festive. Christmas has to be my favorite time of year, all the celebrations and spending time with the family, its just lovely. Once the tree was up we all just looked at it, very happy with it, but also Florence got excited about all the presents underneath, shes still i little girl inside.

Hi all, hope your well :)
This is Rosemary Cottage, the latest house I've built, and yep its one of the houses i built for my Isle of Newshore project, and i liked it so much i moved it to Riverview to finish it off. Its placed on 310 Cypress Lane - which is a 40x30 lot. When i was decorating this house i decided it would be for a young couple with two toddlers, and boy and girl. One of the parents is and inventor and the other a designer, so the garden house has all the things they need for that.
Also I'll say sorry in advance for the number of pictures, i get a bit camera happy and take so many (this post started with about 35 pictures and i got it down to 17!)
Anyway i hope you like it and any constructive criticism will be much appreciated,
Happy Simming :)

Its been a few weeks since I've told you about my life and what we've all be up to. Its all been rather ordinary lately, we're just living the suburban dream. Florence is back at collage after the summer, and is busy doing her work a lot of the time. Its a lot harder doing her A-levels than i think she thought it would be - but shes doing very well and Edward and i are extremely pleased with her and her hard work.

After some more building in Toddington, and looking at the rest of the island which i still needed to build, i became completely overwhelmed by the whole Isle of Newshore project! I was really enjoying myself but there was just so much to do and i couldn't really seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, a whole world is just too bigger step at the moment. Don't get me wrong it's really great looking back and seeing what you've created from scratch but i just takes so long, so as you may have guessed i went back to Betcy, i just missed the actual playing of the sims and i missed Betcy so here she is...

Hello again everyone, how are you all? Its been a long time and a lot has changed so i should probably get on and fill you all in.
Its been just over a year since Bertha died and it hasn't got any easier for me to live without her. Edward and Florence have been wonderful, obviously they know what it feels like to loss somebody. They really helped me through the first couple months, which were the hardest, but i feel a lot better now, of course the pain never goes away, you just get used to it, and i still really miss Bertha. I go to her grave at least once a week just to talk and put down some fresh flowers. I find the graveyard so quite and peaceful and the sound of the running river in the background is just so soothing.

I've done some work on the buildings of Toddington these past few weeks. Building up the village and giving it some shape, im quite happy with some of the building, so bellow is what ive build so far and a liitle bit about them.

Sorry i haven't updated for a while, i was going to over a week ago before i went away but i just ran out of time! So ive done a fare amount more on the west coast of the Isle of Newshore, I've fleshed out some of Toddington with roads and lots so thats basically finished. Then i went on to putting the forest around Toddington Manor, as you can see one side is finished. In the wood theres a small group of lots, in the middle is a fishing spot and round the out side is going to be 4 log/wooden houses. Also Beacons Point has been edited a lot but i'm still not completely happy with. Above Toddington there is some of the farmland with barns and lots for farm houses this is where I've done the main part of the terrain sculpting so now it is quite hilly which i quite like so I'm going to keep working on that.

Keep Simming :)

Sorry it took me longer than i said to post this, but i just couldnt think if an name i liked for my island but at alst i think ive got a name I'm almost happy with :D So i introduce you to the 'Isle of Newshore'. Its a smallish Island on the south coast of England below Cornwall, that's all I've really decided about it at the moment. Oh and I sort of know what main features i want the Island to have as well:
+ A seaside village/town on the west coast of the island, this is the main village of the Isle of Newshore. I've called it Toddington Bay. (which was the whole idea of the island in the first place. I was just going to make a small coastal village called Toddington because in the sims 2 i used to have a holiday destination called Toddington and I wanted to remake a version of that. However the whole distant terrain thing wasn't what i wanted and just didn't do what i needed it to so i went with an island for my first world).
+ Toddington Manor - this was once the home of the Lord and Lady of Toddington Bay and is now the town hall. I haven't decided how it went from the home of the lord and lady to the town hall but I'm working on it.
+ Beacons point is were the lighthouse is and maybe some houses.
+ An industrial area on the north/east coast of the Island - this still needs a name. This will have most of the rabbitholes like the factory and warehouse, because they wouldn't fit into the style of the village.
+ A couple of clusters of houses and farms, dotted around the remainder of the island, like small outer villages.
+ Most of the gaps in between everything will be filled with trees and fields etc.

Hey everyone,
Just a quick note to let you know whats going on with my blog. For a week of so i've been wondering if having two separate pages for stories and buildings was working or not, and after some help from Jen I decided it would be better if i just merged the two. So I've moved the two building posts into the main 'stories' page which I've then renamed SouSou. Ok i hope that all makes sence :)
Also at the moment I've taken i taken a tiny break from Betcy, but dont worry ill be going back to her soon. The reason for my break is to work on the island world im making. I'll post about it as soon as u decided on a name for it, I've got a few ideas buzzing around in my head i just cant decide on which one to choose, so thats just a little incite into the future. I should do my first post about it by the end of the week!!
Keep Simming :)

Ive had the most terrible week this week, firstly the computer stopped working, so i called the repairman but he said he could be up to 3 hours so i thought id give it ago my self, OK people don't try this at home, i went and electrocuted myself, what a silly billy i am, so i decided i would just wait for the repairmen instead, and i thought it would be best if i went to had a shower, i was all dirty from the electric shock.

So I've finally finished a house :) woo at last, i always seem to move to another projects before i finish the current one, but for once i think I've finished :D 'think' being the operative work haha ill probably  go back and change it at some point but anyway for now it's finished :)
So this is a house based on some pictures of a Cornish cottages on Google, good old Google. It's located at 100 Redwood pkwy in Sunset Vally  and is a 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, cottage with open plan living, kitchen and dinning. There's a basement that is empty at the moment (probably going to be for when the family grows(well there was one in a picture so i put it in)) Out back is the garden overlooking the sea and lighthouse with green house and shed also plenty of space for planing. There's loads of plants and bushes all around the garden (got a bit carried away with them but my Sims who lives there, Lucy Truman, has the life time wish for the perfect garden so i guess you would have a very flowery planted garden) Enjoy :D
